A strong culture of safety forms the foundation of how we protect our ADTM Engineering colleagues, clients, trade partners, and the communities in which we work. In alignment with our core value, “We care about people, all people”—not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because we understand that a dedicated effort to ensure safety, health, and environmental protection directly impacts workforce engagement and the quality of our work.
Our Safety, Health, and Environmental (HSE) department consists of experienced and certified professionals who support our leadership and operations teams in planning safe work, preventing injuries and incidents, and continuously enhancing our safety culture.
Visible Leadership Commitment
Safety leadership begins at the top. Our President and CEO, Michael Alturk, and our Chief Operating Officer, Tala Alturk, are dedicated to fostering and sustaining a strong safety culture. They have set the expectation that all ADTM Engineering employees, along with our trade partners, will perform their work safely while continuously seeking opportunities to improve and implement best practices.
Our executives and project leaders champion our health and safety initiatives on every project through their support and visible commitment. They recognize and reinforce positive behaviors among employees and acknowledge those who contribute to our safety goals and expectations.
Safe Start
Our Safe Start Program is ADTM Engineering’s system for onboarding each trade partner before beginning work on a project. This preparation includes proactive safety meetings that enable us to discuss work methods, assess risks, and agree on controls and procedures. This process continues throughout the project as construction phases and work methods evolve.
Continual Improvement
We consider all unintended or unplanned events as valuable learning opportunities. Our operations teams and HSE professionals analyze every unwanted occurrence, regardless of whether it results in injury. The insights gained from these events help us identify root causes and opportunities for implementing new technologies, systems, or processes. Lessons learned are shared both within the company and with our trade partners to continually enhance our safety measures.
